We've finally got a 2008 football schedule. There are 8 home football games which is awesome. Details will be forthcoming for the UK game, but I'm excited to see Hunter Cantwell in action.

Class of 2009 standout Rakeem Buckles committed to U of L today. He'd been thought of as more of a project until this his junior year. He's had a breakout season playing for Miami Monsignor Pace and has moved up the scouts rankings.
FoxSports has Brian Brohm going fifth in their first mock draft. That's about a dozen spots higher than I thought he'd go. Pretty cool.
1. Dolphins Chris Long DE 6-3 278 Virginia Senior
2. Rams Jake Long OT 6-7 335 Michigan Senior
3. Falcons Glenn Dorsey DT 6-2 313 LSU Senior
4. Raiders Darren McFadden RB 6-2 210 Arkansas Junior
5. Chiefs Brian Brohm QB 6-3 227 Louisville Senior
After trailing at the midway point, UofL staged a rally in the second half to top dumb ole UK 89-75 AT Rupp Arena. Louisville ended its three-game skid, but in my mind the best part of the game was seeing Juan Palacios play well and score. He's been out for so long, its just good to have him back. I love that McGee outscored Sosa (sosa is talented but can't be a #1 or #2 scoring option on a healthy team, in my opinion. In other news, we attempted only five three-pointers in the second half but scored 59 or 60 points. That should tell us something about our strengths (or that UK stinks).
That's disappointing. I was encouraged by DC's play but was really looking forward to a matchup with UNC. I hope the team bounces back and can still mesh without Padgett. Oh well.
Time for more Final Four's than NIT's and this is the year to prove that we have the potential to be at the top again. The players are here finally and it is time for the coach to prove that he can produce the most that is expected from each of the stars. With Earl Clark, T-Will, and Padgett expected to leave after this season it seems that next year might be dimmer with all three starters leaving.
Thoughts?
I'm still watching, but the season is as good as over. UK is one thing but Syracuse.
OK. We won big. I didn't come away feeling so great though. Ours offense looked like it should, but defensively we really didn't seem to have our act together. Anyone have any thoughts? Am I just being picky? If I were an opposing coach, I'd feel hopeful playing us next week.
