Outside News:

Lexington Herald-Leader

10 years ago, the Herald-Leader had virtually no UofL news.  Since the arrival of Rick Pitino, and a couple of fan-favorite players from out in the state (notably Alvin Sims), U of L has been getting increased, though limited, press from the paper.  This sort of press is vital for the program to be top tier and not just a city school.

Louisville Courier-Journal

The home town paper usually has a story every day about U of L.  Some UofL fans gripe at the perceived anti-UofL bias in the local media, but for the most part news has a neutral point-of-view. The articles have comments, but they often degenerate into bickering nonsense due to UK fans and others posting to pick a fight.

UofLsports.com

This is the official site for U of L athletics.  Their coverage is far more broad than the national news and gives fairly equal treatment among all sports with a more slight bias to men’s basketball and football.  The articles aren’t usually very fun, in my opinion, but they cover events other places don’t.

Card Chronicle

This one is new to me and really does everything I wanted this site to do. Good content updated frequently.

CardinalSports.com (Rivals.com)

1 of 2 (along with Scout below) good, national resources for recruiting at  U of L and other schools.  Both Rivals and Scout generally leave you frustrated unless you’re a paid subscriber for $100 / year each.
