Louisville has picked up a couple of quality Orlando area recruits thanks mostly to a stud of a new coach. Running Back Corvin Lamb (5-10, 190-pounds) and wide reciever Michaelee Harris (6-foot, 180 pounds) both had other offers from power schools like LSU, Miami and rival WVU but chose us.

This is just what cardinal faithful were hoping when Strong came on board. It's cool that we've gotten commitments during a recruiting quiet period while Strong has to be more focused on his day job coaching Florida's defense. On thing I found interesting / odd from the Orlando article:

He has yet to visit Louisville, but is slated to Jan. 8, and then also plans on three more trips in January -- Miami, Tennessee, West Virginia -- even though he's made his commitment.

It seems odd to go on official visits after committing to a school. That said, I can imagine a kid wanting to take some free trips and have fun being wooed - it's fun to be wanted. I guess the odd thing is that Harris went ahead and committed before the other visits rather than keeping his commitment to himself until after those trips. It seems like if he's just going there to have a good time, he'd have a better time if he were a little more flirty. Why date if you have a fiancé?
